"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you."
- John 15:12

Welcome

Come from anywhere and find the peace of Christ: sanctuary, shalom, and the sacred.

Opening at 9 a.m. Monday to Friday at the corner of West University Avenue and Elm Street, the Campus Christian Center offers the university community a place of spiritual sanctuary, with a cozy fireplace; a big-screen TV; a free wireless internet hotspot; and free fair-trade coffee, tea, and cookies. We also host a variety of social and spiritual activities, and organize service projects to put faith into action: check out our events calendar for details.

Mission

The Campus Christian Center offers a vision of the Christian faith to the students, staff, and faculty of the University of Idaho as a significant part of an emerging global community containing other major faith traditions. This is done with the full cooperation of the participating churches in order to develop well-educated future leadership for our churches and society and to provide day-to-day opportunities for religious practice and service within the context of a university community.

Our goal is to maintain

  • Significant educational opportunities both within and outside the university at a level warranting university recognition
  • An open community for faith building and faith sharing among the various interpretations of the Christian faith and among the faiths of our global community
  • Attractive, well-located facilities for religious witness, practice and service

Our objectives are to provide

  • Future leadership for our cooperating churches
  • Responsible and dedicated leadership for our communities, country and world
  • Contribute to an emerging community of acceptance within the context of our highly diversified and fractured campus
